Happy Saturday!

Its been a while since Ive shared a beauty related blog post with you babes. Things have been very busy since the holidays hit and the time I have spent towards my online family has been going towards my MiracleTribe.

We start another round of May Cause Miracles tomorrow and I am so excited!! Lots of planning, prepping and meditating is involved in getting this coaching up and running. Its never too late to join! Check it out if you are ready to up your game this new year!

All details on the book + the Facebook group invite >>> HERE <<<

So! As my life evolves, priorities change and new products hit the market - I discover NEW favorites that I am so excited to share with you!

A few months ago I committed to discovering great products that were comparably close to my staple favorites but MUCH cheaper.

Although I still stand by my favorite products proudly - I like many of you are looking to save and honestly as a busy mom I love that most of these I can pick up while grabbing groceries!

Anywhere in my schedule where I can save some time is a huge bonus!

My daily makeup routine (pictured to the right) is super simple. It happens in the parking lot at work and its so much cheaper than anything I have previously shared with you.

I have all my daily products listed and linked below with their prices included for quick reference. Below that I have included detail on the comparison between my favorite staple products to the cheaper ones I recently discovered.

Feel free to be proud, we've gone from spending $50 on foundation to $6!!!

Mascara

I think I struggled the most with mascara - nothing really compares to They're Real by Benefit or The Roller Lash by Benefit, its honestly difficult to use anything after Benefit.

I tried numerous products and just found myself frustrated by the overall dryness you experience from most drug store mascaras. They clump fast and flake throughout the day, the over sized application wands are obnoxious and if they did work ok they had a funky chemical smell that drove me nuts!

It was a journey but at one point I tried The Maybelline Stilleto Mascara and honestly its pretty solid making it a great dupe for the Benefit Roller Lash OR They're Real.

Both Benefit Mascaras cost $24 compared to the Maybelline Stilleto Mascara costing a cute $7.69

For reference, I always go black. Jet black, as black as they make it and I rarely go waterproof - I find its too much of a pain to get waterproof off later.

Eyebrows

Eyebrow wise...I failed, I could NOT find anything even remotely close to Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. Even the famous NYX eyebrow dupe miserably failed. I am very picky when it comes to eyebrows and this was the one product I had to stick with. It works fabulously, lasts long, and looks great. I like bold but natural brows and at this point, nothing beats Anastasia.

For reference, I do NOT have tatted brows, I get this question so often! My brows are naturally dark, occasionally I do dye them a bit darker for fun.

I don't wax, I pluck them myself and I NEVER let anyone touch them. I went through the crap phase like most where I over plucked. Through trial and error I have learned the value of letting them grow and peak to their fullest potential.

With that said, I have been so curious about getting them tattooed. I have a friend who does a really great job while making them look natural and not tatted on - every time I see pictures my curiosity peaks! So who knows...maybe one day it'll happen but for now I stick with Brow Wiz.

Concealer + Foundation

On a good skin day I ONLY use concealer, but sometimes my skin freaks out and I need a little extra coverage. On good days I use Maybellines Instant Age Rewind Concealer, its pretty awesome and although it looks best with a mid day touch up, it blends really well and doesnt dry out your skin. I love the built in brush which makes those touch ups extra quick and easy.

For the days my skin needs a little extra care I  add the Rimmel Matte BB Cream, this product is insanely smooth!

It provides great coverage and looks awesome. Its a great primer pairing up nicely with a powder and/or concealer. I find that it does minimizes my pores and it does a great job covering up any crazy spots. With my skin being extra dry I love that this BB cream is moisturizing and brightening which keeps my skin looking nice and even.

As a bonus it doesnt break me out which I appreciate and its got a little SPF which is always a win!

Impressive for the price right? There is one downside....Rommel has a HUGE lack of colors. "Light" works great for me during the summer/fall months but when winter hits and I get pretty translucent I cant use it without it looking funky. I really wish they provided more of a color variety.

My all time favorite concealer and foundation these two are being compared to is Nars! And oh my god these products have a special way of making your skin look brand new.

Its a bit unreal and if you ever have the opportunity to head into Sephora makeup free, be sure to try their foundation. My go to here is Nars Sheer Glow Foundation and the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer both incredibly pricey but also really fucking awesome!

Age Rewind Concealer $7.99 compared to Nars Concealer $30

Rimmel Matte BB Cream $3.99 compared to Nars Sheer Glow $47

Eyeshadow

IMG_5902.JPG

I don't do eye shadow everyday so I wont go into too much detail here. I feel like if you can narrow down the basics you can pretty much get away with most eye shadows.

I got the NYX eye shadow (pictured above) from Ipsy way back when I had their subscription service. You can get these little trios off their site or you can purchase one of their larger pallets with more variety.

My favorite eye shadow pallet is Lorac which I did a giveaway for a year or two ago. You can get their pallet from the Lorac site or from Ulta for $44 - they are awesome!

I have both the Lorac 1 and 2, a little goes a long way with these so yes I still have them and use them often. Because of this I rarely need to replace my eye shadow pallets.

SO! If you are looking for a product dupe for the Lorac I would go NYX. They are great, long lasting, blend well and NYX has a variety of colors + pallet sizes.

In addition to eyeshadow, NYX does a fabulous job with their lip products - my favorite color is Creme Brulee and I wear it often! I love that it has a little bit of color but for the most part is pretty natural.

Hope this was useful for you! Let me know if you have any questions. LOVE you babes oh so much!

March Ipsy Goodies | FLORAL FANTASY

A few months ago it was requested I do a monthly ipsy video on my YouTube channel. I had a good go with it until this month. Unfortunately ipsy sent my bag super late this month, shame shame...just kidding shiz happens and they were super quick on getting back to me when I emailed them wondering where my monthly goodies were.

SO! Because it was sent late and I wanted to test out the products before sharing my opinions I figured I would embrace the change of my bag getting here late and change it up with a blog post rather then a video.

If you want to see what other goodies i've received each month I have created an ipsy playlist you can check out HERE!

Lets get started.

This months theme is FLORAL FANTASY which I am all about. The bag is cute for summer & its well made which is always a plus! Now to the actual goodies...

Products

1. Pur-Lisse cleanser & makeup remover: I am officially a fan of this brand, one month ipsy sent a sunscreen from this same company and I loved it! They have some fun ingredients which I totally dig, for example...blue lotus, white tea, & soy proteins. I am always skeptical of a cleanser that claims to also remove makeup but this one is great! This would be a great product for your summer vacations because its a two in one which makes packing easier.

2. Crown Brush Oval Concealer Brush (C224): I have never used a concealer brush, so this I am super excited about. The brush is perfect for the under eyes and I loved the way my concealer looked after using it. Definitely makes a difference! I also love getting tools from ipsy as it changes it up and adds some essentials to your makeup collection. Good tools make all the difference! After using this I would recommend a concealer brush to everyone & anyone who want to take their concealer game to the next level!

3. NYX butter lipstick: This is one of my all time favorite ipsy products i've ever received. First off, I LOVE NYX. Second their butter glosses are some of my all time favorite lip glosses, and third they are so inexpensive which makes me, my wallet, and my hubby happy. This lipstick is awesome, its super long lasting and moisturizing. The color is gorgeous and it stays on even when doing things like eating/drinking. YAY! I want to get a few more in different colors so I have a kick ass lipstick collection. These are seriously amazing.

4. VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind Illuminating Face Highlighter: I wish this was a little bigger since its a face highlighter but it also makes a great eyeshadow which in that case it would be considered full size! I compare this highlighter to the "tarte park ave. princess" contour pallet. Its basically a cooler (color wise) version of the highlighter in that pallet. Pigment is great, its got such a pretty shimmer to it, and a baby touch of pink perfect for those cheekbones.

5. St. Ives apricot scrub: I love anything apricot/peachy smelling so this ones right up my ally smell wise. I haven't used this one yet so I cant really share my overall opinion other then it smells good and the bottle says its 100% natural which I dig.

Overall this month was pretty great. I am always shocked that its only $10 and I got 5 different goodies that are not only great but definitely equal out to be more then $10.

If you dig makeup and want to join the ipsy family check it out HERE!

As always much love to all of you babes!
