My latest bath turned into a bit of an experiment that ended with cotton candy colored hair via a lush bath bomb...

So heres the scoop!

Ive been a lush addict for a while, I have used just about everything they have. I dig the brand, what they represent, and bath time is my favorite!

Being a bath bomb junkie and participating in regular lush chats, ive heard from a few fellow blondes that some of their bath bombs temporarily tinted pieces of their hair that accidentally got soaked in the bath.

Not wanting to mess up my super bleached hair and being a very active lush user, I took to google to see what it was all about.

There were a few complaints about bath bombs turning pieces of their hair temporarily pink, purple, green, blue etc...nothing to drastic with the exception of one gal pal who turned her skin totally pink by rubbing the bath bomb into her skin? Complete user error.

This sparked my curiosity. If peeps were experiencing pieces getting a bit tinted from falling in, what would happen if you soaked your whole head for like an hour. On purpose.

Yep - a $4 lush bath bomb + netflix for an hour created this magic!

Not only did this not cost me a damn thing (cause I was taking a bath anyways) but my hair ended up super silky soft! Like almost too soft...

-Lush Daddy-O Shampoo - let sit in hair for about 30 minutes

-Lush bath bomb soak - let your hair sit for 1 hr or longer

*I used the lush bath bomb "PINK Bath Bomb" and mixed it with a little bit of the Karma Bubble Bar. If I were to go back I would have mixed it with the Comforter Bubble Bar - its way more PINK!

Keep in mind - there is no guarantee that this will work for everyone, not only do I have super white/blonde hair but my hair holds onto color like crazy! Everyones hair is different, please keep that in mind.

It is ALWAYS going to look better going to a stylist - but if you are like me and find joy in playing with your hair and you dont so much care about the results I say go for it.

Not only did this not cause any damage to my hair but it cost me next to nothing and it turned out way better than I expected!

Much love,

Over the years i've collected little trinkets and treasures. I have so many little loves it can be hard to have them all out on display at once. However I like to change my surroundings often, which means switching out my gadgets and gizmos every few months or so. In a perfect world I would have them all out on display without my house looking like a gift shop.

The other day I found this rad shelf online that I fell in love with. It got my artistic wheels turning a little which was nice since ive been on the uninspired band wagon lately.

After a lot of help from Josh, a few trips to Lowes, and a very defiant wall anchor we finally got it up on the wall. All details below.

On the top left of the shelf I have some flower power going on, along with a book of inspiring quotes from "Children of the Inner Light". Ive got a couple little buddhas, some sage, my geode, and candle. The little block is rad, its got different quotes on each side. I always keep it on the serenity prayer side because its one of my very favorite quotes. The two little tiny stones my dear friend Renae gave me once upon a time.

Moving down a little I have a few different stones. First one is (I think) is Green Cobra Jasper, its one of the most unique stones I have. I cant find exactly what it is and I wish when I bought it I would have written it down. The closest thing I can find is the Green Cobra Jasper. Next is Amethyst, and Adventurine. Both gorgeous.

Along the middle of the shelf I have layer of polaroid photos, because who doesnt love polaroid pics?

On the right top side of the shelf I have candles, incense, a really dark green and red stone that I don't know the name of (again I should have noted what it is when I got it), and a few of my favorite plant holders. Moving down to the middle shelf I have some Carnelian and a variety of little gemstones in a shot glass. I plan on turning these each into necklaces but for now figured I would keep them on the shelf.

Bottom shelf i've got Amethyst and Quartz Crystal next to a photo of Josh and I. The caption reads "all you need is love". Ive got my Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Polaroid Camera along with some pens in a kerr jar, and some Aveeno hand lotion for when my hands need some lovin.

Below the shelf on the table I keep my purses. This little area is basically a dumping ground for jackets, bags, bills, money, notes, etc... We keep all of our bills that need to be paid in a box and as the week goes on we add to it, then at the end of the week we pay bills, organize, and file away everything that needs to be filed.

The table cloth is a scarf that I rarely wear because its so big. I thought it looked adorable with everything else going on in this area so I added it to the fold up table below the shelf.

Its all a bunch of organized chaos, but its a great way to keep everything I love out on display without my entire house being covered.

Much love!
